The Hollies at the Winter Gardens.

I loved the Hollies and came to see them at the Winter Gardens in about 1963 (I was 15 or 16). They were fantastic. My friend and I joined the queue to meet them after the gig as I was in love with Allan Clarke. As we met him, my friend said “she wants to kiss you” and he obliged. I couldn’t believe what had happened and, as a gawky, teeth-in-wire-braces adolescent, I didn’t get over it for weeks. Still haven’t really and was devastated when he married one of his fans!
